Wedding Fees
Fees for music at your wedding are separate from the other fees payable to the Church and are payable directly to the organist. The fee rates are based on the guidelines issued each year by the Royal School of Church Music. The fees for weddings in Tring throughout 2024 are as follows:
Organist
The Organist’s basic fee is £140 to include all routine preparation, administration, meetings etc, performance for the service and accompanying soloists during the service if necessary.
If considerable additional time is required, e.g. preparation of unusual music or rehearsals with soloists etc, this may be charged for, with prior agreement, at the rate of £35 per hour or part thereof.
If considerable additional time is required, e.g. preparation of unusual music or rehearsals with soloists etc, this may be charged for, with prior agreement, at the rate of £35 per hour or part thereof.
Choir
Fee of £140 for a choir of six members or more. A choir will assist in leading the singing of the hymns at your service and will be available to sing during the signing of the registers if required. Due to the small number of regular singers in the church choir it is generally necessary to bring in some occasional members and/or other singers. So, if you want a choir to sing at your wedding, please make sure that this is asked for well in advance of your wedding date.
Other
If you request any music for which copies need to be purchased you will be charged the cost price for the music which will be retained by the church afterwards.
